Pot Scrubber | Beechwood

Yes definitely! The scrubber is made from beechwood and natural sisal plant fibres, with zero plastic components. Because every part is plant-based, the whole scrubber can go into your home compost at the end of its life, breaking down naturally without leaving microplastics or harmful residues behind.

No, the sisal bristles are non-scratch and strike the right balance being firm enough to tackle stubborn food residue but gentle enough for cast iron, non-stick, ceramic, and enamel cookware. It's also versatile beyond the kitchen and works well in bathrooms too.

After each use, let it dry thoroughly by hanging it up or standing it on its bristles so water drains away from the wood. If it needs a deeper clean, soak it in distilled white vinegar, then rinse, shake off excess water, and hang to dry. Avoid leaving it sitting in pooled water, as prolonged moisture can speed up natural wear.

With regular use, we recommend replacing your pot scrubber every 2–3 months. Over time you may notice some natural discolouration or small cracks in the wood - this is completely normal and won't affect how well it cleans. When it's time to retire it, simply add it to your compost.

For a complete plastic-free washing-up setup, pair the pot scrubber with the Dish Bar (a solid dish soap bar that eliminates plastic bottles) and store everything neatly in the Soap Holder. The combination gives you effective cleaning power for pots, pans, and dishes without any plastic in your sink area.
