This is simply the wood expanding and contracting as it moves between wet and dry conditions. Don’t worry, it won’t affect how well the scrubber works at all.

Great hold
Super comfortable to hold and the bristles are strong enough for pots! Unfortunately the wood handle on mine has already started to crack but thankfully it hasn’t affected the effectiveness of the brush :)

A little disspointed in this product have had it a week and it is already stained from living near the sink. In thinking the wood is not sealed and i do not have a sunny spot to let it dry out after use.

Our pot scrubber handle is made from natural, untreated beechwood, so because it’s left in its raw state, you may notice some discolouration over time, especially if it lives near the sink. That’s just the wood reacting to moisture and it won’t affect how well it works.
A few tips that can help:
– Rinse well after each use and make sure no food debris is left behind
– Allow it to dry standing on the bristles or hanging, so water can drain away from the handle
– For a deeper clean, soak the bristles in distilled white vinegar, then rinse, shake off excess water and dry thoroughly
