PLEASE NOTE - OUR SENSITIVE DEODORANT IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. Sign up via the box on the right > to be the first to know when it's back!
This is probably our most requested product over the last 6-12 months; a natural, Australian made, plastic free deodorant - and it is now here!
We believe that what we put in is just as important as what we left out. Ours have lots of great ingredients and no nasties.
This formulation has less Sodium Bicarbonate in comparison to our regular Peppermint deodorant, perfect for sensitive skin.
We have road tested all of the natural deodorants on the market so you don't have to (there were some good days and some bad days!) Best bit, we tested this on ourselves, so please believe us when we say it really works!

Cocos Nucifera [Coconut] Oil, Tapioca Starch, Zea Mays [Corn] Starch, Oryza Sativa [Rice] Bran Wax, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Ricinus Communis [Castor] Seed Oil, Sodium Bicarbonate, Hydrated Silica, Water, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Copernicia Cerifera [Carnauba] Wax, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract
- Corn Starch: Cornstarch soaks up excess moisture and helps to keep your armpits feeling dry.
- Tapioca Starch: helps deodorants to absorb sweat while respecting the natural perspiration of the body and it makes the skin soft to touch.
- Coconut Oil: Kills bacteria, fungi, and yeast which is what happens when sweat interacts with your body and causes body odour. Therefore, getting rid of the problem of body odour in a totally natural way along with the other ingredients works a treat.
- Sodium Bicarbonate: helps to naturally neutralise odours by eradicating bacteria.
- Rose Geranium Essential Oil: Natural deodorising properties and has a soothing emotional effect that promotes greater feelings of relaxation, emotional stability, and optimism.
Direction of use
Apply to clean and dry skin after showering. To apply rub a pea sized amount between fingers and then directly onto your armpit, rub in as required. Reapply as often as needed and always reply after swimming, exercising or towelling.
Using bamboo applicator
Scoop and apply your deodorant with this beautiful reusable bamboo applicator. It allows for easy of use while maintaining your deodorant and keeping it free from bacteria. Bamboo is sustainable, environmentally friendly and antibacterial which makes us happy! Make sure your skin is clean and scoop the cream using the wide end of the applicator. Scoop a small amount, apply it onto skin and gently smooth in the cream. Rinse under running water after every use and let dry. Throughly clean once a week with a natural soap and let it dry.
End of Life:
Re-use the tin, recycle at the end of its life; Aluminium is 100% recyclable and experiences no loss of properties or quality during the recycling process.
Do these deodorants actually work? I’ve tried so many natural deodorants that don’t work, why should I try yours?
Yes, ours really and truly work! All of our team have tried and tested these formulations over many months. The team packed hundreds of Christmas orders, long days, in 85% humidity wearing and testing these formulations, so we can say without a doubt - they are great and they work! We have tested many of the other natural brands too and have been disappointed so we wanted to make a plastic free, toxin free deodorant that really works and we did it! We hope you enjoy it too.
What makes the Sensitive Deodorant suitable for sensitive skin?
Due to the inclusion of Tapioca Starch - best suited for sensitive skin, this formulation contains less amounts of Baking Soda, which can be irritating to some skin types. Of course, as with any skin care product, if you do notice any sensitivities we suggest you stop using it right away.
Are these deodorants antiperspirant?
No, they are not. We believe that it is good to sweat, it’s a natural function that our bodies are designed to do. Many antiperspirants contain harmful ingredients which block sweat glands.
So if you’re switching from an anti-perspirant deodorant you might find that you go through a little transition phase (without body odour) but with some natural sweating as your body adjusts.
Usually, this does not last! Testers from Seed & Sprout HQ can attest to no wet pits after a brief adjustment time.
Do these deodorants contain aluminium?
No they don’t.
I have sensitive skin, which deodorant should I try?
Start with the sensitive deodorant and see how you go.
What do they smell like?
Both deodorants contain essential oils, the natural version containing higher amounts of bi-carb smells like peppermint and the sensitive version smells like subtle rose geranium.
I like the idea but I don’t want to touch my armpits, what should I do?
That’s ok! We have designed a bamboo applicator just for you, so you don’t have to get up in there if you don’t want to.
Will this deodorant stain my clothes?
No, our deodorants won’t stain your clothes or leave any oil residue behind.
How long will it last?
We would conservatively say it will last for 12 months before opening, and 6 months after opening. Each deodorant tin is designed to last about 4-6weeks for most people (depending on how much you use).
Why did you use Tapioca Starch instead of Arrowroot powder in the sensitive deodorant?
Both are great ingredients for a sensitive deodorant, we chose tapioca starch because it is more shelf stable than arrowroot powder.
Can you make refills? Or can I send my deodorant or lip balm back to you to be refilled?
Not at the moment, due to the consistency of the products and also for hygiene purposes.. If we accepted packaging back to us then we would need to sterilise them and it wouldn’t work from a hygiene standpoint. Plus, the refill packaging going back and forth creates an unnecessary carbon footprint. These slider tins make great handy containers for bobby pins, hair ties, jewellery when travelling and many other things and they are 100% recyclable at their end of life.
Why do you use bi-carb (sodium bicarbonate) and will you be making one without this in the future?
It is the simplest and most effective natural ingredient for combating body odour. We have a sensitive formulation which has far less bi-carb in it which many of our team with sensitive skin tested with great success and no reaction (they normally react to regular natural deodorant). Customer feedback is fundamental to what we make and create at Seed & Sprout, so if this is heavily requested we will probably do it.
