These are solid, quality metal containers with a silicone lid. I'm not sure if acidic contents may react with the metal, will need to try it out

Cute bowl to bring for lunch! However, glass isn’t tempered. So thin, dropped one and it just shattered everywhere into tiny pieces. Not the safest glass product, unlike other brands that shatter/splinter into bigger pieces

Hi Amy - we're so sorry to hear this! It is made of thick borosilicate glass so that it can withstand high temperatures making it microwave and oven friendly. These are excellent. Completely water tight but not difficult to open. Tip - you can write on the metal part with permanent marker to label, then use isopropyl alcohol to remove. The slim profile makes them perfect for throwing in a handbag.
