World Environment Day isn’t just a date on the calendar - it’s a reminder that our everyday actions matter. This year’s theme, #BeatPlasticPollution, is a global call to reduce our reliance on plastic and take real action at every level - from our governments to our households.

How You Can Get Involved:

  • Start with a Plastic Audit: Take a look at your weekly waste and identify where plastic is sneaking in.

  • Make the Switch: From Kitchenware, Lunchware, Cleaning & Personal Care, opt for reusable, refillable alternatives.

  • Compost Your Scraps: Food waste in landfill creates methane. Composting reduces greenhouse gases and creates nutrient-rich soil.

  • Support Local and Low-Waste: Shop at bulk food stores, bring your own reusable bags and containers, and choose local produce where possible.

  • Speak Up & Share: Talk to your friends, share your swaps online, and spread the word. Awareness fuels change.

Why It Matters:

Plastic pollution is clogging our oceans, harming wildlife, and finding its way into our food and water. But the solution starts with us, consumers making better choices and businesses offering better options.

The very notion of going plastic-free is what sparked our founder Sophie’s mission to start Seed & Sprout. It began with one plastic-free lunchbox for her son and quickly grew into a movement of people saying NO to plastic at home.

As consumers, we have power. Where we spend our money matters. The more we support sustainable, plastic-free options, the more accessible and affordable they become - and the less demand there will be for plastic. It’s all about supply and demand: if we stop asking for plastic, brands will stop making it.

We’ve spent years designing solutions that make ditching plastic simple! We’re proud to say our community has helped divert thousands of tonnes of plastic from landfill -and this is just the beginning.

Let’s #BeatPlasticPollution together 💚
