Reusable Stretch Lids

The stretch lids are too big for my bowl, what do I do?

That’s totally ok! If you simply place it over the top and its touching the rim of the bowl all the way around then that is fine- it is covered, just don’t flip it upside down.

Can I put them in the dishwasher?

You sure can! Some people do prefer to hand wash them though especially if there is any oily residue on them.

Can I use these in the microwave?

You sure can! They can withstand high temperatures and are perfect to stop your soup splattering everywhere.

How to use:

  • Ensure the surface where the silicone is touching is clean and dry and free of oil
  • Simply stretch lid over bowl, ensuring that the coverage is even on each side
  • The silicone need something to stick to, just as plastic Cling film sticks to itself, or sticks to another clean dry surface.
  • If used correctly you can stack reusable stretch lid bowls on top of each other, a great way to store leftovers and save space.

  • To store, when they are completely dry, roll them up with the bumpy side facing outwards

Why won’t my wraps stick?

The wraps need a clean, dry surface to cling to.

Are they microwave and oven safe?

The wraps can go in the microwave and the oven, handling temperatures up to about 250 degrees celsius. Avoid use in gas ovens or near an open flame.

We also recommend you don't use any type of nut oil on the wraps whilst cooking as nut oils generally have a higher smoke point and can melt your wraps.

We suggest having a separate set of wraps for cooking as they tend to lose a bit of their stickiness after being used in the oven or microwave.

Instructions for use:

  • Prepare by making sure both the surface of the bowl and the silicone food wrap are dry.
  • Place the wrap shiny side down, bumpy side up.
  • Stretch (rather than drape) the food wrap over the surface of the bowl from one side to the other until it grips and forms an airtight bond.
  • Store food as usual.
