What Is Zinc Oxide?

Zinc oxide is a mineral that sits on top of the skin, scattering, reflecting, and absorbing UVA & UVB rays. Although zinc oxide is the safest and most effective active sunscreen ingredient, the best protection from the sun is to seek shade and cover up with clothes and a hat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a Physical or Chemical sunscreen?
Our sunscreen is a physical sunscreen, it does not penetrate your skin like chemical sunscreens instead it creates a physical barrier, therefore reducing the chances of skin reactions and irritation.
Is your sunscreen TGA approved?
Yes, our sunscreens are independently tested here in Australia. Our sunscreens are third party tested by an accredited laboratory in NSW for chemical and physical testing and microbial tested in WA, Australia. TGA Listed: AUSTL326028
What does Reef Safe mean?
“Reef Safe” means that the ingredients in a sunscreen or other personal care product are not toxic to coral or any marine life in the coral reef ecosystem.
Are the sunscreens water resistant?
Being a fully oil and wax based formulation, the sunscreen has natural water resistant properties. However, this is not part of the formal certification and we recommend always reapplying immediately after swimming or exercise.
