The Byron Shire has brought rise to a collective of strong women who are redefining the way we look at business.
The past 10 years in the Byron Shire has seen many great brands have develop past their creative infancy, flourishing under this supportive wing of encouragement, empowerment and growth.
Rather than the traditionally masculine and often competitive nature often seen in many entrepreneurial hubs, I've been blessed with a community of creative and supportive individuals; who have both inspired and supported my cause.
One look around the bustling Industrial Estate, once synonymous with the Sunnybrand abattoir, now a melting pot of brands and individuals blazing path of both individual creative expression and savvy commerce, is a clear indicator of what the right environment is capable of cultivating.
One brand that we have to pay thanks to is Spell and the Gypsy Collective, who helped us shoot some of our original campaign images when we first launched in Australia, mid 2017.
Spell and the Gypsy Collective are one of the trailblazers in the sustainable fashion movement in Australia, recently releasing their 2017 sustainability report. Their efforts towards environmental transparency are encouraging, particularly as many other brands are beginning to look towards Spell for inspiration.
I can honestly say that without the support and kindness of them and many others, Seed & Sprout would not be where it is today.
So thank you to the team at Spell for all the encouragement and the talented Luciana Rose for organising this beautiful shoot.
