Sweet and savoury vegan waffle recipe

Sweet and savoury waffle recipe

Sweet:

For the waffles:
1 cup spelt flour 
1 cup plant based milk 
50 ml mineral water
1 tsp baking powder 
3 tbsp coconut blossom sugar 
1 tsp vanilla extract or paste 
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp canola oil 

Method: 
Mix all the ingredients and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Preheat a waffle iron and bake delicious waffles.

Savoury: 

300 gr potatoes 

1 big carrot

50 gr zucchini

50 gr chickpea flour (or more if needed)

1 tbsp canola oil 

1 tsp salt 

some pepper

mixed italian herbs 

Method: 

Peel the potatoes and carrots, roughly chop and add to a food processor with the zucchini. Add all the other ingredients and blend until mixed well. If the mixture is still too liquid add more chickpea flour. Preheat a waffle iron and bake delicious waffles.

  • Hi, Just tried this savoury recipe. Didn’t work at all. The texture / consistency seems wrong. What am I missing..?
